has it really been almost a year since i last posted an entry on xanga?? i guess i spend more time on facebook nowadays....
off to hong kong and taiwan this saturday for two weeks of family and in-law time. it's "relatives, meet my spouse; spouse, meet my relatives". lots of good food and good times. looking forward to it! what are you up to, reader? =)

headed back to cali tomorrow for a year of awesome research and becoming Mrs. JL. =) many friends and opportunities await.
but gonna miss east lansing and my med school buddies. crazy, never believed i'd feel at home here in EL, but i do now. it's been a good two years. Praise God!

pls refrain from smoking so that i may study for my exam tomorrow undistracted by the odor that's wafting through a vent and the unrelenting headache that it's triggered. i have an endo-repro exam tomorrow, and it's teaching me that smoking has been associated with an increased incidence of invasive cervical carcinoma, typically squamous cell carcinoma. i don't know if you're female, so perhaps it would interest you more to know that cancer also causes a multitude of gender non-specific diseases, none of them pretty. this isn't the first time your smoke has come into my apt. pls get some help for your addiction. i know it won't be easy to quit, but many people would greatly appreciate it. including your future self. and your very headache'd neighbor.
